Welcome to the home page of the Association for Computational Linguistics Special Interest Group on Natural Language Generation.

What's New:

• INLG 2014: Call for bids is open now. (Deadlines: Intent to submit 15 May 2013 and full proposal 12 June 2013).


• SigDial 2013 will take place in Metz, France, 22-24 August. Submission due 3rd May.


• ENLG 2013 will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, 8-9 August. Submissions due 3rd May.


• Results from the SIGGEN election are in! Barbara Di Eugenio, Verena Rieser and Shashi Narayan will join Ielka van der Sluis and Kristina Striegnitz on the SIGGEN board. Congratulations and welcome to the board!


• Funding available for a PhD position in NLG, linked to Data2Text, a spinout company at the University of Aberdeen. E-mail Ehud Reiter for more information.

SIGGEN Board Election 2012:

The results were as follows:

Full positions:
Barbara Di Eugenio: 66 votes total (1st choice: 44, 2nd: 21, 3rd: 1)
Fazel Keshtkar: 33 votes total (1st choice: 3, 2nd: 6, 3rd: 24)
Verena Rieser: 60 votes total (1st choice: 23, 2nd: 33, 3rd: 4)

Student position:
Shashi Narayan: 63 votes

The assignment to the actual board positions (chair, secretary, treasurer, webmaster) will be decided collaboratively among the elected board members after the election.

Term starts: 1 January 2013
